Effective Date: September 5, 2026
Welcome to the Gloss & Glam website (the “Website”). Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using our website or booking any services. By accessing our website or booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or book services. These Terms comply with United States laws and California state regulations.
The Website provides information about the services and products offered by Gloss & Glam, including hair coloring, styling, bridal services, beauty treatments, head spa treatments, extensions, and other salon-related services. Any promotions or offers listed on the Website are subject to specific terms and availability.
Booking Appointments: When booking services through our Website or booking system, you agree to provide accurate information. Your appointment is confirmed once you receive an email or SMS confirmation. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us at (323) 424-4224.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. A charge of the full service fee will apply for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice. No exceptions will be made, regardless of the reason for cancellation. By booking, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
Late Arrival: Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or treat the appointment as a no-show, in which case the full service fee applies.
Repeated Cancellations: Clients with a pattern of same-day cancellations or no-shows may be required to prepay the full service fee at the time of booking for all future appointments. This prepayment is non-refundable.
Service Availability: We reserve the right to modify or cancel appointments or services due to unforeseen circumstances.
Pricing: All prices displayed on the Website are starting prices and are subject to change without notice. Final pricing depends on hair length, thickness, condition, and the complexity of the service requested.
Client Responsibility to Confirm Pricing: It is the client’s responsibility to ask for and confirm the price of any service before it begins. If your stylist recommends an additional or alternative service during your appointment, please ask for the cost of that service before agreeing to it. Confirming a service also confirms your acceptance of its price.
Service Modifications: If you need to modify or upgrade your service, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
Full payment is required at the time of service. We accept cash, credit card (Visa & Mastercard), Zelle, and Venmo. We also offer financing through Cherry for higher-priced services.
Deposits: We do not require a deposit for standard services booked online. A deposit may be required for certain services such as bridal hair and makeup. Deposits are non-refundable but will be applied to your final service price.
All salon services are non-refundable once performed. Salon services involve our team’s time, professional skill, and professional-grade products, none of which can be recovered once a service is complete. This policy applies to all services without exception, including but not limited to haircuts, hair coloring, chemical treatments, extensions, blowouts, head spa treatments, makeup, and lash services.
Retail products sold at the salon are also non-refundable once purchased.
If you have concerns about your service, please see Section 7 (Satisfaction and Concerns) below.
Speak Up Before You Leave: At the end of every service, your stylist will show you the finished result and ask if you are happy. If you have any concerns, please raise them while you are still in the salon so we can address them immediately. This is the only time we can see your hair under salon lighting and make adjustments on the spot.
Confirmation of Satisfaction: Once you confirm that you are satisfied with your results and leave the salon, your service is considered complete and accepted.
Post-Visit Claims: Claims of dissatisfaction or damage made after you have confirmed satisfaction and left the salon — without having raised any concerns during your visit — are not eligible for a redo, refund, or credit. The further in time a claim is made from the date of service, the less possible it is to attribute any condition to the original service, as hair is affected by many external factors including washing, heat styling, environmental exposure, aftercare products, and services performed elsewhere.
Resolution: In cases where a concern is raised promptly and in good faith, we may offer a complimentary corrective service at our discretion. This is offered in place of a refund, not in addition to one.
Before your service begins, your stylist will consult with you about the desired result, the technique, and any limitations based on your hair’s current condition and history. The service performed will be the one discussed and agreed upon during this consultation.
Reference Photos: Reference photos are helpful for communication, but final results may vary from any reference image. Factors including your hair’s starting color, condition, texture, length, and chemical history affect what can be achieved. Some looks may require multiple sessions or may not be achievable for your hair type. Your stylist will advise you honestly.
Chemical Treatments and Color Services: Color, lightening, keratin treatments, Brazilian blowouts, relaxers, and other chemical services carry inherent risks that vary based on your hair’s condition and history. By proceeding with a chemical service after consultation, you acknowledge that you understand these factors and accept the outcome within the range discussed with your stylist.
Client-Provided Extensions: If you supply your own hair extensions or products, Gloss & Glam is not responsible for their quality, compatibility, or longevity. Not all extension methods are suitable for every hair type, length, or condition. Your stylist will recommend the most appropriate method for your hair, but the final decision to proceed rests with you.
Durability: The longevity of extensions depends on your hair type, the condition of your natural hair, the extension method used, and your home care routine. Extensions that loosen or shed due to hair type, aftercare, or normal wear are not grounds for a refund.
The appearance, longevity, and health of your results depend on following the aftercare instructions provided by your stylist. Results that are affected by improper home care, use of incompatible products, heat damage, environmental exposure, or services performed at another salon are outside Gloss & Glam’s responsibility.
Gloss & Glam may photograph or video-record your hair before, during, and after your service, as well as during consultations, for our internal records, quality assurance, and training purposes. These records may also be used to document the agreed-upon service and the final result in the event of a dispute.
